RENEE VAN BAVEL – I WRITE YOUR NAME
For the International Holocaust Remembrance Day on 27 January 2022, I made the short film “Ich schreibe deinen Namen – I write your name”, commissioned by the Memorial & Museum Sachsenhausen.
In this film, the three students Canan, Greta and Marie explore a new way of commemorating and bringing the past into the future.
The film contains contributions from the students Canan, Greta and Marie, the Minister of State for Culture and Media, Mrs Claudia Roth, the Director of the Sachsenhausen Memorial Dr Axel Drecoll and the President of the Brandenburg Parliament, Mrs Ulrike Liedtke.
The concept, script and film direction were created and done by me.
